Tabla was established by Tania Mohan in 1999. The inspiration for Tabla came from a trip Tania had taken to India in 1998 while helping plan her brother's wedding. After falling in love with the intricate embroideries, detailed thread work and exquisite craftsmanship of Indian cloths, she opened the Tabla boutique in the Prince's Building in the heart of Hong Kong to showcase the treasures she had discovered. The shop became an overnight sensation.
Tabla has since evolved into an elegant luxury lifestyle brand. India's rich heritage can be seen in each piece, whether it's in the hand embroidery, fabric, colour or design details. Tabla pieces are made by traditional artisans in India and are of the highest quality.
