The designer who owns 8.1% of the company along with Ontario Teachers Pension Plan ( who owns 6.9%) are among the primary share holders. When the company went public it increased investments by an estimated $944 million USD (according to Fashion Television) to bring the total company worth at 3.8 billion dollars.
