The Ravel footwear business started its life when two entrepreneurs, Mr and Mrs Erwin Wise, opened two shoe shops in London under the name The Tower Boot Company in 1934. The pair quickly came renowned for offering made-to-measure formal evening shoes and later, styles for fashion minded individuals.
The move from formal to fashion was insightful, as demand for their footwear continued to rise; resulting in the couple rebranding the family's chain of 40 stores and its footwear ranges to Ravel in 1965. The brand was a hit, especially with style icons of the day including the likes of Lulu and Twiggy.
Today Ravel continues to offer footwear that is right on trend.
