Temperley, the high-fashion brand was created by Alice Temperley. This label made its official debut at the London Fashion Week in September 2000 and went on to become a popular brand across the globe. Temperley has three stand-alone stores in London, New York and Los Angeles and also retails at some of the major boutiques and department stores that include Selfridges, Harrods in London, Saks Fifth Avenue and Neiman Marcus in the US.
Alice's designs have won her several accolades, which include Glamour Magazine Designer of the Year Award and The Walpole Award for British Design Excellence, among others. Temperley designer wear for women includes dresses, trousers and jackets, among other products. The Spring/Summer 2007 collection called Nomad is inspired by the past culture and heritage. The colours ruling the roost in this collection are mushroom, chocolate grey, blush and cream, blues, and cerise to give a mystical aura. Some of the creations from the collection include the Trench coat with leather belt, leather jumpsuit with ruffle blouse, cropped jacket, pleated trousers, wave shirt, baggy shorts, belted skirt, nomad dress and Sleeved lace Iris dress among others. |
