| Mango is a transnational Spanish clothing company based in Barcelona, Catalonia. MANGO currently has over 8,600 employees, 1,850 work at the Hanger Design Center at their headquarters. MANGO employees are young and enthusiastic with an average age or 30, and 80% are female. It has 1,700 stores in 100 countries located on five continents worldwide. Beyond Europe, expansion has gone as far as Egypt, Israel, Jordan, China, Japan, Iraq, South Korea and Thailand. Mango also exists in Australia, but is under separate ownership in that country. The company has announced plans to open a store in Iraq, to feature clothing designed by Zuhair Murad, a Lebanese designer who has collaborated with the retailer since 2006. Mango has moved towards the concept of the multi-label store, a space containing collections by different designers and in different styles, within the same brand. |
